Invite Your Friends to Join
Have your friends join the Activity and watch LoL Worlds with you! To join, they need to be in the same voice or text channel as you and join the Activity you started. Each person joining will need to provide authorization if they’ve never used it before.
Once you’ve started the Watch Together Activity in a voice channel, in the desktop/browser Discord app you can right-click on the voice channel in the channel list and select Invite to Join. You can copy the invite link and send that through a DM or in a text channel or text chat to invite others to the Activity.
Fellow server members can also simply join a voice channel with the ongoing Activity and press or tap the Join Activity button on the Activity tile in the focused voice channel view.
Desktop/Browser App
Mobile App
If you’re watching in a text channel, there will be a message sent in chat to notify the channel that the Activity has started. You can join the Activity by clicking the Join button on the message.
Host a Watch Party
Want to make sure your friends don’t change the video at the height of the competition? To have more control over what’s being watched in your Watch Together session, here are some settings we recommend.
Host Mode
In Host mode, only the host can change the currently playing video. Anyone can add videos, but without the host taking action, those videos won’t play until the current video is over.
To enable host mode, look in the top top left corner on Desktop, or in the Settings tab on mobile. Make sure “allow everyone to edit the playlist and video state” is toggled OFF.
Use a server where you are an Admin
If you lose connection, leave the Activity, or reach your max playback time, you will lose your status as host, and a random participant in the Activity will become host.
If this happens, any Admin watching can take over host control by clicking the 3 dots next to the current host, then clicking “revoke host control.”
To make sure an Admin is always in control of the current video, we recommend having a few server Admins present in the watch party.
